International Yoga Day Celebration 2021

Students Welfare, MRIIRS, celebrated 7th International Yoga Day. The program was hosted and celebrated as a part of the Common Yoga Protocol Training Programme by the Ministry of Ayush and Radio Manav Rachna 107.8 FM. 

The guest speakers and the yoga experts for the celebration were Mr. Manoj Kumar, Former Teacher of Indian Culture and Yoga, Embassy of India- Madrid, Spain and Sh. D.C. Chaudhary, Former District Convenor, Sarv Siksha Abhiyan.

The program commenced with the words of Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS and Dr. N. C. Wadhwa- Director General, MREI who highlighted the importance of Yoga especially in the times of the pandemic and motivated the gathering to follow various Yoga techniques in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. 

During the first session, the expert Mr. Manoj Kumar highlighted various techniques and his experiences on the issues to overcome breathing and spinal difficulties, followed by a meditation session. 

Further, he also showcased some of the asanas that could be performed by everyone in their day to day lives. Many people among the audience performed the yoga asanas along with the expert. 

This was followed by the interaction of the other expert, Sh. D.C. Chaudhary, Former District Convenor, Sarv Siksha Abhiyan who elucidated the audience about inner peace, behaviour change and health restoration through various Hast Mudars.

The second session of the day was in association with Isha Foundation by Sadhguru which was facilitated live by a trained instructor of the foundation, Mr. Dhananjay Fatehpuria. This session lasted for 45 minutes and comprehended various topics like powerful wisdom by bytes by Sadhguru, strengthening one’s immune system and respiratory health and also, Yoga for Respiratory Health & Immunity.
