Industrial Visit to JBM
A one-day industrial visit was organized by JBM group for its 5th semester (batch 5) students of B.Tech-Mechanical-Industry Integrated program studying at MRIIRS. Areas covered during the visit:
· Manufacturing of Axles
· BIW (body in white) and Exhaust system of automobiles.
· Welding processes (MIG & Spot welding)
· Welding and Assembly Fixtures.
This visit made students learn about the manufacturing of various types of car axles and Exhaust systems made for Maruti cars. They were provided with all the detailed procedures in the manufacturing of axles.
Material handling procedures and equipment used in the plant were explained to students along with the flow lines.
Manufacturing processes for BIW (body in white) and exhaust, muffler was explained to the students including all the procedures and processes.
