Industrial visit of ECE Students to ISRO Remote Sensing Centre- North

IV Semester students (ECE and ECE with AI and IoT) of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, FET, MRIIRS hosted an educational and industrial visit to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO Regional)’s Remote Sensing Centre (RRSC) North in New Delhi recently.

Dr. Vinod Kumar Sharma, Scientist SF, RRSC, ISRO, opened the session with a welcome note. Dr. B.K. Bhadra, Scientist SG and Deputy General Manager, RRSC, ISRO New Delhi gave the keynote lecture after that. The address featured a detailed description of ISRO’s journey from Earth to MARS.

Dr. Bhadra discussed ISRO’s achievements in space technology and the different space missions that the agency has undertaken. He also discussed the Regional Remote Sensing Centre’s involvement in imaging, geospatial analysis, and ground instrumentation, and how the Remote Sensing Centre is involved in crop forecasting and other social activities.

A session was held to discuss the Opportunities and Challenges in the field of remote sensing and GIS. He went about the requirements for applying for Internships and Student Projects at ISRO. Students also visited the Exhibition Hall where they saw numerous types of launch vehicles like as SLVs, GSLVs, and PSLVs, among others.
