Hotel Management students visited India International Hospitality Expo 2019

Department of Hotel Management, MRIIRS organized a visit for the students to India International Hospitality Expo 2019. With a robust strength of 650 Exhibitors and 25,000 Decision Makers, IHE-2019 was a great learning platform for the students. IHE-2019 provided an opportunity to students to meet the most powerful and influential stalwarts of the hospitality industry, with 40+ years of experience in hospitality sectors. From top-notch sponsors, CEOs, GMs, executive chefs, hotel-chain owners, F&B managers, HODs of engineering, housekeeping and purchase function, distributors/wholesalers, procurement managers, designers, the all-important frontline hospitality personnel, and many more, showcased their product as well as their talents to Crème de la crème. Students really got inspired from them.

Students met and attended the session of Zorawar Kalra (MD, Massive Restaurants) who was a Judge in Master Chef India Season 5. He talked about his journey and how the restaurant business is booming because of the current generation of diners. He had a conversation with the audience on ‘The Future of Indian Restaurant Industry’.

The students also attended the master class of Celebrity Chef, Mr. Vicky Ratnani who presented Nagaland to Noida, a lip-smacking pasta dish which incorporated aspects of Naga cuisine, with a twist of Indian spices. This quickly won the hearts of the audience and left everyone hungry for more. Overall, students found “IHE 2019’ a great learning experience. The time they spent there has been absolutely enlightening for them.
