FET Students Talent Hunt

GROUP A & B

Department of Students Welfare organized a Talent Hunt for the new comers of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (CSE,CSE-CC IBM,EEE), MRIU as part of their orientation program on 7th July 2015. The students showcased their talent in the fields of dance, music, mimicry, etc.

The event started at 1 pm in the A block Auditorium by the introductory speech of Prof. IK Kilam, Dean Students Welfare motivating the students to take part in co- curricular activities and develop their all round personality in addition to the academics.

Dr. M.K. Soni, Executive Director and Dean, FET; Dr. Pradeep Varshney, Associate Director-FET; Dr. Devi Singh, HOD- Physics and Dr. S.S. Tyagi, HOD- CSE among other faculty members graced the occasion.

The event was hosted by Sonal Prasad, 2nd year-CSE, FET and Assem Chawla, 2nd year-CSE, FET. To welcome the freshers and make them feel a part of Manav Rachna family, Pranjal Dutta-2nd year CSE, FET and Samyukta Singh-2nd year CSE, FET performed solo dance and made the crowd cheer in excitement.

Sameeya Zargar-3rd year, Civil, FET; Siddharth Singh-3rd Year Mechanical and Vinay Tolambia, Alumni Mech, FET being active students associated with the Department of Students Welfare shared their experiences and made the freshers aware about the importance of the next four years of their life.

A presentation comprising photographs of all the events conducted by DSW in the past one year including that of the Manav Rachna’s Annual Techno Cultural FEST RESURRECTION 2K15was displayed. Another presentation of the magnetizing sketches and art work of Debojit Guha, 3rd year Mech., FET was also shown which made the students cheer and astonished by his talent. Divyanshu Huria, 2nd year, Civil, FET encouraged students to participate in the upcomimg MRIU MUN and explained its importance.

Nakshatra Pandey and Yogesh Kumar, Student Coordinators, DSW invited the students for registrations into any of the groups of their choice and groom their talent by meeting students with the same taste and participating in different events. They further made the new comers aware about the website, facebook page and Youtube channel of DSW. In addition, they assured the students about the Ragging free Campus and also about a newly formed Students Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) where students can share their grievances of any sort.

Few students of 1st year performed on stage and showcased their talents: Deeksha (EEE) recited a poem on Nirbhaya case, Nisha(CSE-CC IBM), Mandeep Singh(Auto) & Vaishali Vashisht(CSE-CC IBM) entertained the audience by their talent of singing. Ayushi Bhatia(CSE-CC IBM) and Avni Ablash (CSE) did a dance number whereas Deepanshu Miglani (CSE-CC-IBM) showed the courage to come up on stage and beat his fear of stage by sharing his future expectations from himself. A Mimic act was performed by Yagya Raj Tyagi (CSE).Certificates and chocolates were given to all those who participated/volunteered in the event in order to encourage them to further indulge in more co curricular activities

The event ended at 3.15 pm by a motivating speech by Aseem which made the crowd roar “Who am I? I m a CHAMPION”.

The students showcased their talent in the fields of dance, music, mimicry, etc.

Few students of 1st year performed on stage and showcased their talents: Diksha Aashveer Singh(ECE), Safdar Ali (Mech), Tejashwar Singh(Mech) & Vidant (Auto) entertained the audience by their talent of singing. Divyanshu Parashar(Mech), Aman Verma(Mech), Kartikey Tanwar(ECE), Yashumeel (ECE), Mandeep Singh Chawla (Auto), Diksha Bhati (ECE), Sagar Malik (Civil), Ipshita Dutta (Biotech) and Bosky Heisnam (Civil) did a dance number.On spot Certificates and chocolates were given to all students who participated/volunteered in the event in order to encourage them to further indulge in more co curricular activities.
