Department of Management Studies organized an expert lecture on Retail Management for the students of MBA (first and second year). The lectures were delivered by experts from the Education vertical of Future Group- Future Sharp Skills- Dr. Puja Sukhija, Academic Advisor, Platform Skills Trainer, and Mr. Devendra Koli- a Certified Trainer in NLP.
Dr. Puja Sukhija talked about “Retail and Consumer Behaviour” wherein she explained about the retail industry with the help of real case studies of successful retail chains. She also added how understanding consumer behaviour is critical to success in the retail industry. Elaborated deliberations about the career options available in the industry were the striking point for the students.
The second speaker of the session, Mr. Devendra Koli delivered a talk on “Sales and Strategy”. He explained the importance of sales in every aspect of business and personal life. He discussed the sales cycle and made it interactive for the students by giving real-life examples. The speaker’s passion for his work and the love for the industry was contagious.
The experts complimented students about their zeal. The students gained a deep understanding of the retail industry and the sales function.
