Expert Talk on ‘Database Technology’

Department of Computer Science & Technology, Manav Rachna University organized an Expert talk on ‘Database Technology’ for B.Tech (CSE/IT) & M.Tech (CS)  students. Mr. Amitava Chakraborty, Infrastructure Architect – IMI Delivery, IBM India Pvt. Ltd., was the speaker for the session. He shared his professional experience with the students and emphasized on practical examples by incorporating the actual industrial case studies in his presentation.

The agenda of the talk was about the internal architecture and working of database system. He discussed about three pillars of database systems i.e. storage, processor and memory along with the flexible structured database (Hadoop).  He covered these topics from an industry perspective and made the session very interactive. He motivated students to ask questions and share their thoughts. He also highlighted how business and clients utilize structured and flexible structured database in current industry need.

Mr. Amitava Chakraborty motivated and guided the students to learn the advance technology, addressing the current needs of the industry. Overall, it was a very enlightening and an interactive session.
