On August 5, 2021, the Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies organized a webinar on Career options after 12th Commerce. How to choose the right path?
It was an Expert Talk by CA Manish Kumar, Partner, AARK & CO. LLP and Chartered Accountants Director, ShineWing Business Advisors Private Limited.
He educated the participants about the traditional as well as non-traditional choices of careers in the field of commerce. He talked about the new and upcoming career options such as blogging, YouTubers, influencer, etc. He enlightened the participants about real facts regarding entrepreneurship and other non-traditional careers.
Instead of the glamorous and shiny part, he told the participants that one has to be certain about their choices and not choose the option only if it is in demand or just because of peer pressure. He mentioned ‘Research’ as one of the potential career options and stated that surrounding oneself with likeminded people helps ones find out more updates and opportunities for one’s career.
He mentioned that one’s college, professors, and counselors play an important role in providing guidance for career choices.
