Faculty of Management Studies, MRIIRS organised a one-hour session by Ms. Purnima Rao, Head Operations from QRG Hospital on “Handling Service Operations for Excellence”. Ms Rao has 15 yrs of rich experience in Healthcare industry. She has been associated with Asian Hospital, Max Hospital, Paras Hospital, Sarvodaya Hospital and now QRG health city in same capacity of Head-Operations. Apart from Operations and Administration, she is a NABH internal assessor and an avid trainer.
In the engaging session held with her, she explained how service excellence plays a vital role in any organisation especially healthcare sector. She emphasised on the importance of communication when it comes to patients, and retention of customers. She said that word of mouth of existing customers plays a great role in marketing. Marketing in Healthcare sector was talked about. Students’ queries were duly answered by her. She ended the session by laying emphasis on how SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) is the most important factor in any organisation.
