Expert lecture on “Cloud Systems & Technologies”

Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, organized an expert lecture on “Cloud Systems & Technologies” recently. A total of nearly 102 students attended the program.

The program commenced in the presence of Dr. Tapas Kumar (HOD-CSE-SPL), Prof. CSE; Dr. Tanvi Gupta, Assistant Professor, CSE, FET; Ms. Manisha Vashisht, Assistant Professor, CSE; and Ms. Shweta Sharma, CSE, FET, MRIIRS.

At the beginning of the session, Ms. Manisha Vashisht and Dr. Tanvi Gupta, AP, CSE, MRIIRS welcomed the dignitaries, the guest speaker, Mr. Rajeev Kumar and the student participants. Ms. Manisha also gave a short brief to the Guest Speaker and handed it over to him. Mr. Rajeev Kumar is a Cloud Engineer at Citrix Azure Virtualization, New York.

Mr. Rajeev introduced about cloud, infrastructure, its enhancement, and concepts of Internet and cloud computing. He also shared some of his experience of industry with the students about what challenges they face while deploying Cloud.

Also, in Citrix, he works on certain applications that are user friendly to people. He illustrates one example: if such an application is developed like a notification we get on a mobile when we click on it, it will display the content that is sent by the sender. He also introduces certain terminologies like how cloud world and citrix related to each other. He also threw some light on the context of how we can save the application through hackers, how firewall works, how to challenge the vulnerability when some malicious activity is observed. He also explained the role of cloud connectors.

At the end of the Session, Dr. Tapas Kumar, thanked all participants, the respected speaker, all students for such patient hearing and continuous participation of all participants in the program.
