Duo-Debating Competition
The Faculty of Education and Humanities, Manav Rachna University organized Duo-Debating Competition, Parley. The event was formulated to bring together the best debaters and orators from all over Delhi-NCR on to a single platform and watch the show their exceptional debating and rebuttal skills along with the perspective they intend to bring forward.
The event witnessed 11 teams, each team consisting of 2 members. One member of the team was the speaker, while the other member was the interjector. A topic and stance was provided to them beforehand for the screening round, they were supposed to speak for/against the motion and defend themselves against any interjections. In the second and final round, 4 teams were shortlisted and the topics were given on the spot for the final round.
Dr Shruti Vashisht, Dean Student Welfare, MRU and Dr Rashee Singh HoD, Faculty of Education & Humanities, warmly welcomed the judges Dr Shivani Vashisth, Professor& HOD, Department of English, FMeH, MRIIRS and Ms Parul Bhateja, Assistant Professor, Lingaya’s University. The event was coordinated by Dr Chhavi Kulshreshtha. Faculty members of the Department were present along with the students. It was a thrilling and insightful debate that took place. The two teams that secured first and second positions were.
