Celebration of Teachers Day 2019

To honor and celebrate the special occasion of GURUs, the students of the different societies of MRIIRS celebrated Teacher’s Day with a grand celebration.

The occasion was graced by Dr. Sanjay Srivastava- MD, MREI & VC, MRIIRS; Dr. N.C. Wadhwa- Director General, MREI; Dr. M.K. Soni- Pro-Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS; and Sh. R.K. Arora- Registrar, MRIIRS along with fraternity of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies.

The event began with a soulful thought of presenting a plant of Tulsi along with the handmade chocolates made by children adopted by Sambhraye Foundation to all the dignitaries. In addition to this, the students of Aarekh- The Fine Arts Society of Manav Rachna gifted the portraits to their gurus. 

Dr. N.C. Wadhwa wished everyone a very happy teacher’s day keeping a thought in mind that teaching is one of the noble causes that any human can do as teachers are the only one who leads the child ahead in life. Dr. Sanjay Srivastava shared his views that first gurus are parents and after parents, the teachers play a very important role in anyone’s life. They are the role models, inspiration, and parent-figures outside the home who teach us many lessons about life. He also said that it’s true that ” A teacher affects eternity, he/she can never tell where his/ her influence stops.” He also mentioned that the efforts done by students and Department of Students’ Welfare were outstanding and he wished the crowd on the occasion.

Following this MRIDANG- the Music Society of Manav Rachna gave an amazing performance to their teachers they started with a sloka  गुरुर्ब्रह्मा ग्रुरुर्विष्णुः गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः  गुरुः साक्षात् परं ब्रह्म तस्मै श्री गुरवे नमः  which was followed with a melody of songs. A student from the Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies shared his thoughts by a poem on gurus.  The faculties of Manav Rachna are never behind in showcasing their hidden talent- the team of Corporate Development and Career Management Center gave a stunning performance where they depicted various dress forms of India.  Another breathtaking performance was given by a team of faculty members from different departments like FET, FCBS, Dental who walked the ramp behind an idea that being teachers, they can be fashionistas also. 

The MRIDAKSH- the Dance Society of Manav Rachna also paid a tribute to their teachers with an astonishing performance. 

The student committee from different faculties chose certainly titles for the faculty members Mr. Popular title was awarded to Mr. Nitesh from CRCMC whereas Ms. Popular was titled to Ms. Diksha from Central Team. Title of All Rounder was awarded to Dr. Gurjeet Kaur Chawla, Associate Dean Students Welfare whereas Mr. Style Icon was titled to Dr. Naresh Sharma, MRDC and Ms. Style Icon was titled to Dr. Sonia Duggal from FCA Department. Dr.Amit Seth from FMS was titled as Inspirer of Manav Rachna.

The title of Most Adorable was awarded to Ms. Yashika Hasija- Coordinator, DSW and the Creative Mind was titled to Ms. Richa Sharma from CRCMC. Few more titles were given to the faculties who walked the ramp Ms. Best Dress was titled to Ms. Meeta from FET department, Mr. Best dress was titled to Mr. Dalal from FCBS department, Versatile Personality was titled to Mr. Faraz from CRCMC, Elegant Personality was titled to Dr. Pooja Khurana from Maths Department, Best Walk was titled Ms.Neha from FCBS department. 

Dr. Kanan from MRDC gave a sensational music performance to the crowd and Mr. Prashant Dixit shared his college memories with his teachers. 

Aaira- the Fashion Society of Manav Rachna paid a tribute to their teachers and also walked with their favorite teachers as a mark of respect and love.
