Alumni Connect Activity – CSE, MRCE {MRU} [2005 – 2009] – 20.4.17

Manav Rachna Alumni Association welcomed yet another alumni, Mayank Masand of 2005 – 2009 Batch of MRCE [now MRU], on Thursday, 20th April 2017. During his visit to the campus, Mayank interacted with students from MRU.

Mr. Mayank Masand is currently employed with Aristocrat Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. as a Technical Lead in the Product Development Studios alongside the development teams based out of India, Sydney & Las Vegas Studios. Mr. Mayank initiated the lecture by sharing his journey till now. He shared the difference between working with service industry and product based industry. He shared videos to brief about Life @ Aristocrat Tech. Students were shown some of the latest and most popular gaming products.

        

Moving forward in the session, he focused on the importance of having a strong knowledge base, so as to get a job in the core engineering segments of IT sector. He shared detailed information regarding testing domain including different roles, testing tools & techniques. He discussed about qualities of a good software tester. He also highlighted the difference between SDLC & STLC. The session was concluded by sharing a video regarding the importance of EQ and why it matters more than IQ. The session was extremely informative and students participated actively.

During the radio programme, Campus Star at Radio Manav Rachna 107.8, Mayank shared his experience at the campus as a student and appreciated the holistic changes and initiatives taken for the welfare of the students which will go a long way in the development of these students.
