A Leadership Program for School Students

In an age where peers tend to get influenced more by each other than by elders, right education and knowledge prove to be a more effective approach. Keeping in view the same, L.E.A.D (Leadership Exploration and Development) workshop was organized on January 17, 2018 for young and enthusiastic members of Manav Rachna International Schools (MRIS). It was attended by a group of over 140 bright and enthusiastic young minds from MRIS in Faridabad, Gurugram and Noida.

The purpose of the workshop was to empower the budding leaders to enhance their potential, maximize their performance, and achieve their ultimate goals. Considering the relevance of the situation, ‘Creating Connect’ was the theme of the day.

The training started with an enthusiastic activity of acclimatization setting the right tone for the workshop. The session was facilitated by Ms. Kanupriya Shekhar, Assistant General Manager, Career Development Centre on “L.E.A.D”. Impressed by the impact and its relevance, various facets of the topic were brainstormed and discussed by the students.

Mr. Amit Bhatnagar, Director, CDC concluded the workshop with his spirited thoughts which reinstated the virtues stressed upon during the workshop.

The council members took a pledge to imbibe a mindset and outlook for acting as a facilitator for the transaction of activities, an initiator of the process of experiential learning and the qualities of providing positive leadership to their counterparts. The day concluded on a positive note and the scholars went back to their respective schools with a contended heart and a certificate of active participation.
