10th Edition of Manav Rachna Inter Faculty & Staff Badminton & TTchampionship 2022 organized at MRIS 14

The 10th Edition of Manav Rachna Inter Faculty & Staff Badminton & TT Championship
2022 commenced in full glory at Manav Rachna Sports Academy Sector-14, Faridabad.
The championship was inaugurated by Dr. Prashant Bhalla – President, MREI in the
presence of Ms. Deepika Bhalla – Executive Director, MRIS-14; Dr. N.C. Wadhwa –
Director General, MREI; Lt. Gen. R K Anand – Director General, MRIIRS; Brig. V.K.
Anand – Registrar, HR, MREI; Ms. Mamta Wadhwa – Director Principal, MRIS-14; Mr.
Sarkar Talwar – Director Sports, MREI.
250+ Faculty and Staff members from various Institutions & Schools of Manav Rachna
participated in this tournament.
Ms. Mamta Wadhwa – Director Principal, MRIS 14 stated, “it is always a pleasure to
have the entire Manav Rachna family at the sports academy as this is an event when
the faculty and staff get to enjoy and bond like a family”.
The staff of MRIS-14, MRIS-21 C & MRIS-46 Gurugram engaged the audience and
guests with their dance & music performances.
Dr. Prashant Bhalla – President, MREI in his address, highlighted that “sports play an
important role in team building which is beneficial for growing as a team. I am truly
delighted to see our enthusiastic manav Rachna fraternity come together as a family for
playing and getting to know each other over various sports activities like badminton and
table tennis at our yearly tournament.”
Mr. Sarkar Talwar – Director Sports addressed the participants and audience with his
encouraging words quoting that “this is a tournament where everyone from the MREI
team, right from the Presidentto the faculty and staff, all come together to celebrate,
play, meet each other and enjoy this healthy competition that is important for team
building bringing them all together like a large family.”
The powerplay between the competing teams was enjoyed by the participants and the
audience.
In the finals, Hemant from MRIS-21 C beat Manish Sai from MRIIRS and in the
Women’s team, Sanya Bhalla MRIS-14 beat Ms. Deepika Bhalla MRIS-14.
