Public Health Nutrition Research Methods and Policy Course

Chronic Disease Control (CCDC) and Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) conducted the 8th ‘Public Health Nutrition Research Methods and Policy course’ in Gurugram recently. The course aimed at strengthening capacity building, research methods, and to discuss pertinent policy issues related to nutrition. Ms Varsha Srivastava, Assistant Professor, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics (FAS, MRIIRS) was invited by the selection committee of PHFI and CCDC, to attend this course.

This course not only served as an excellent platform for learning and applying nutrition epidemiological principles and concepts but also helped in understanding the contribution towards teaching and training opportunities for the society. Group work was also performed by the participants. This group work was aimed to foster critical thinking and application of theoretical concepts to real-life situations.
