MRU successfully holds Orientation Programme for Engineering & Non-Engineering Courses

The third day of orientation programme for non-engineering courses began with a visit to various central departments of Manav Rachna University, including shooting range, Technoplanet lab and central library to make new entrants familiar with the facilities available in the University.

After the campus visit, they attended presentation on Corporate Resource Centre and Career Development Center.

Meanwhile, the fourth day of orientation programme for B. Tech courses started with the enthusiastic presentation of CDC and CRC. The CRC team enlightened the students regarding online CRC portal, and discussed the rigorous campus placement drive. CDC head Ms. Gauri Bhasin explained at length about the importance of soft skills.

The session was carried forward by a community lunch which emphasised on generating sense of harmony and bliss in MRU campus. Post lunch, there was an interactive session with three Alumni Ms. Abhilasha Sharma (IAS), Mr. Gaurav Juneja, who lives in Dublin, Ireland and working as a Product manager for Datalex which is a market leader in digital commerce for travel retailers.

Mr Ankit Sharma an entrepreneur, shared his success stories and motivated the students. He also spoke about the hurdles and how to overcome them. Meanwhile, Mr. Gaurav Juneja inspired the students to have focus in life. Ms. Abhilasha Sharma who has scored 68th rank in civil services reiterated the significance of introspection.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Varshney, Associate Director, FET gave an insight into the Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation Centre (MRIIC). The session aimed at providing awareness of research centres. However, the last session was taken over by senior students of MRU. They introduced the concept of clubs and engaged students in fun filled activities in audio-visual mode, which made the environment colourful and cheerful. The freshers enjoyed the activities a lot.

The Orientation Programme was held for B.Tech, BBA, Integrated Law and Integrated Education and B.Sc (hons).
