Launch of Centre for Distance and Online Education
Manav Rachna Educational Institutions launched the new addition to its fleet- Manav Rachna Centre for Distance and Online Education during a Press Conference today. Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, MREI; Dr. Amit Bhalla, Vice President, MREI; Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, MD, MREI & VC, MRIIRS; Dr. Pardeep Kumar, Director of the Centre; Mr. Pullock Bhattacharji, Vice President-Business Development, Skilling, Training & Placement, BSE Institute Ltd, and Dr. Shivakant Upadhayaya, Group Dean, TalentEdge joined the launch ceremony. Online degree programmes are recognised by UGC under Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies. Manav Rachna philosophy of creating better human beings through the power of Education is entering into a new orbit where we will try to reach out to learners community wherever they are located in the country.
The centre provides a multidisciplinary approach for the students to shape their career inside and outside their domain of education and to meet the evolving needs of the society. Students getting enrolled in these online programs will get access to LMS hosted on popular Swayam platform and this will give opportunity to learners of accessing the digital content designed by our experts at any time on any device. Students can watch HD videos take up quizzes and assignments through the self-paced courses hosted on LMS. In addition to that community of learners have been designed on one of the world’s best platform for collaboration i.e. GitHub. Students and teachers will be able to discuss on the course using GitHub discussion features and students will also be able to access GitHub repositories of their respective courses. Live class feature has been integrated with our Manav Rachna online portal will allow students to attend virtual classroom where they will get opportunity to interact live with their professors.
Assessment in online learning is most crucial aspect and proctored based examination with Artificial Intelligence is what we have in place to ensure authenticity of examination that will be conducted in online mode. We have collaborated with Mettl for conducting AI proctored examinations. The platform will allow students to be evaluated on questions of different types: long answer, short answer, MCQs, coding based etc. So that student performance evaluation can be done in the best possible way.
