Free Hepatitis Vaccination & Awareness Drive
Department of Periodontology and Public Health Dentistry, Manav Rachna Dental College under Faculty of Dental Sciences, MRIIRS conducted a free hepatitis vaccination drive and a continuing education program recently. The program was conducted in collaboration with the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi. It involved the free provision of Hepatitis B vaccination for all the students and employees of Manav Rachna. A lecture on the topic of viral hepatitis and the need for prevention was also delivered. This talk course enabled the participants to become aware of the features and prevention of viral hepatitis.
The utility of this program coupled with the expertise of the resource faculty made it a useful as well as a highly learning oriented program in addition to promoting health in the university.
More than 400 people got vaccinated in the program, while the lecture attracted the attendance of about 100 participants from various departments of dentistry, students, interns, healthcare workers and other domains in this program.
