Collaborative event on ‘Transforming Education’ with ICSI on occasion of International Literacy Day

In its endeavor to bring together the Industry Experts and Student Community for transformational education, the Department of Business Studies, organized a one day program on the occasion of International Literacy Day on the theme ‘Transforming Education ’ in collaboration with Faridabad Chapter of NIRC of ICSI. This event was conducted as part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS).

The session was addressed by Prof (Dr.) Monika Goel – Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies, Dr. Pradeep Kumar – PVC, MRIIRS & Dean (FET), CS Arun Goel – Chairman, Faridabad Chapter of NIRC of ICSI, CS Mayuri Gupta – Management Committee Member, Faridabad Chapter of NIRC of ICSI. Prof. (Dr.) Amit Seth- Director, Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies, Prof. (Dr.) Narinder Tanwar – Head, Department of Business Studies, Prof. (Dr.) Jayender Verma- Head, Department of Commerce, Dr. (CS) Vinit Sikka, Associate Professor, Department of Business Studies (Program coordinator), Kirti Dureja- Management Committee Member, Faridabad Chapter of NIRC of ICSI, Vikram Grover- Management Committee Member, Faridabad Chapter of NIRC of ICSI.

The highly interactive session witnessed the participation of 92 students of BBA/B.Com from Faculty of Commerce & Business Studies and Faridabad Chapter of NIRC of ICSI.

CS Divya Chugh, Executive from regional office – Bombay Stock Exchange addressed a session on ‘Financial Literacy and Inclusion’. She have insights into the importance of mutual funds, equity investments in the contemporary world followed by a multitude of questions regarding Investment in Stock Market made the session invigorating.

Ending on a highly informative and enlightening note, the session concluded with zealous participants eagerly looking forward to another intellectually fascinating session.
