A STEP TO KEEP YOU IN THE PINK OF HEALTH- CONQUER BREASTCANCER

With an objective to raise awareness about the importance of detecting breast cancer early, Dr. O P Bhalla Foundation, Jeevandayini & Sarvodaya Hospital & Research Centre, conducted a tete-a-tete with oncologist Dr. Sumant Gupta at a Health Awareness Talk on Breast Cancer on November 17 at A Block Auditorium, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions.
For the special occasion Dr. Meenakshi Khurana, PVC, MRU; Dr. Sangeeta Banga, Dean Student Welfare, Ms Madhulika Jain from Jeevandayini several faculty members and students were also present.
Dr. Gupta accentuated the reasons, symptoms, cure and precaution in his speech. Awareness leads to early detection and early detection can lead to effective treatment and positive prognosis, so the efforts are also centered on raising Breast Cancer Awareness to beat the disease.
Mrs Sudha Murgai, Director, India Roko Cancer Charitable Trust and Vice President, Cancer Care India was the guest of honor for the occasion and she imparted an overwhelming talk about her 40 year journey as a social worker and a cancer survivor herself.
It was a session which not only caused awareness but also inspired all those who attended to spread the knowledge to their family and friends as well.
