Institute of Management Accountants USA recognizes Manav Rachna University as approved University partner for their Certified Management Accountant (CMA Program)

The BBA Finance and Accounts program of Department of Management and Commerce has been endorsed by Institute of Management Accountants, USA for their Certified Management Accountant (CMA Program). The endorsement certificate was given by Dr Raef Lawson,Vice President, Research & Policy, IMA to Dr Sanjay Srivastava, Vice Chancellor Manav Rachna University.

Manav Rachna University is the first and only University in North India to have received the recognition. Dr V K Mahna, Pro Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna University and Dean, Faculty of Management and Humanities welcomed Dr Raef Lawson, VP, IMA USA and Mr Varun Jain, Founder and National Instructor, Miles Education (IMA partner for India) for the event.

Dr Raef Lawson PhD, CMA, CPA, CFA, is Vice President, Research & Policy and Professor-in-Residence for the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) where he leads global thought leadership efforts and oversees student and academic relations programs. On the occasion, Dr Raef delivered a session on the CMA certification, the need for certification, value addition, structure and curriculum. Dr Raef stressed how the CMA program has contributed to the development of advanced skills of Financial management of leading organizations around the world and why it’s a much sought-after certification for finance professionals by global corporations.

Mr Varun Jain, Founder and National Instructor, Miles Education (IMA partner for India) for the event spoke about the pedagogy and teaching-learning model being adopted for the BBA Finance and Accounts program so that they graduate as certified Management Accountants. He also spoke about the benefits of the endorsement (curriculum equivalence) which saves the student the need for pursuing additional courses and time-saving (become certified accounting professionals while pursuing BBA).
There was an interactive session with BBA program students on their concerns and opportunities from the CMA certification.

Dr Sanjay Srivastava, spoke about the value addition of the partnership for the BBA program students and the need for professionalism and skills. He wished the partnership to be successful and enduring.

The session was also attended by Mr Fenil, Marketing head, Miles education, Mr Pranesh Krishnan, Assistant Operations Manager,UAE for IMA , Mr Vikas Khosla, Regional Manager- Business Development for Miles Education, Wiley India, Prof Dr Rajat Gera, Prof Dr Pragati Chauhan and Prof Dr Sudhir Sachdev of Department of Management and Accountants.
