Expert Lecture in association with NPTI at MRIU
The Department of Automobile Engineering and Mechanical Engineering had organized a Expert Lecture Series on ‘Power Sector-Thermal and Hydro Power Stations’ for three days. Two experts Mr. V.K. Gupta (Principal Director, NPTI (National Power Training Institute) and Mr. A.K. Goel (Ex DGM, NTPC) had conducted the Interactive Session and covered topics such as Scenario of Power Sector in India, Requirement in Power Infrastructure, Demand and supply pattern in India’s Power Generation, Output from Solar, Thermal, Hydro and other renewal and non renewal energy based plants, Power generation through Thermal power plants, main plants in India with output, Working of Thermal power plant, Hydro power plant theory, working principal, parts of plant etc.
The emphasis had been made to inculcate the theoretical as well as practical knowledge of power plants working in the students in addition to keeping them abreast with the latest issues in power generation and power transmission.
The Event was appreciated and attended by 200 registered students and faculty of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering Department. Mr. Dinesh Kumar Dy. Director NPTI was also present in the session.
