Q.1. Are all programmes offered by Faculty of Education and Humanities regular?

Ans. All the programmes/courses in the Faculty of Education and Humanities are in regular mode.

Q.2. What is the process of admission to the program?

Ans. Candidate needs to fill online form at Manav Rachna online admission portal with the prescribed fee. Admission shall be made on merit on MRNAT.

Q.3. If result is awaited for qualifying examination can we apply for the courses?

Ans. Yes, a provisional admission can be provided to those candidates whose result is awaited of qualifying examination. However copy of the final result needs to be submitted within one month from the date of commencement of the classes.

Q.4. Does MRU arrange for Educational loan through banks?

Ans. Educational loans are provided by all Nationalized Banks and the individual student has to approach the Bank of his/her choice.

Q.5 Is the loan facility available only to candidates who belong to NCR?

Ans. No, loan facility is available for students all over India subject to fulfillment of conditions stipulated by the bank extending the education loan.

Q.6 What flexibility/ installments can a candidate opt at the time of payment of fees?

Ans. Twice in a year.

Q.7 What are the deadlines for admission?

Ans. The last date for submitting completed application form is given in Admission Brochure.

Q.8 Is there any scholarship pattern for the meritorious students?

Ans. Yes, there are scholarship pattern for the meritorious students that functions according to the University norms.

Q.9 For entrance exam is there any prescribed syllabus for students?

Ans. It is based on Teaching Aptitude, GK, Comprehension etc.

Q.10 What are the different payment options available?

Ans. Demand Draft, Paytm, Online-Transfer and Option for Credit and Debit card is also available.

Q.11. What are our placement initiatives and what has been the record of placement?

Ans. MRU has a central placement cell named CDC that takes care of the university placements.

Q.12 Are sufficient books available in Library?

Ans. Yes, we have a well stocked library with wide variety of books.

Q.13 What are the library timings?

Ans. The Timings for Central Library is from Monday to Saturday is 8:00am to 4:00pm and on Sunday it is 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Q.14. Which schools are offered for teaching practice?

Ans. Students will be going to Manav Rachna International Schools and Government Schools for teaching practice/Internship.

Q.15 What are the university (staff) working hours?

Ans. Timings for: classes 8:00am- 4:00pm

Q.16 Is the campus Wi-Fi enabled?

Ans. Yes, it is Wi-Fi enabled and equipped with latest computing facilities. All computers are connected to the internet with a bandwidth of 45 Mbps.

Q.17 Is course material provided by the University or the books are included in the fees structure?

Ans. Facility of e- library is available and the course material is uploaded on the intranet.

Q.18 What Kind of labs are available?

Ans. Following labs are available:

Q.19 What is the mode of transport and fees structure of the same?

Ans. University buses are commuting all over Delhi NCR. Fees structure gets revised every year.

Q.20 What will be the medium of instruction?

Ans. The medium of instruction will be English.

Bachelor of Education(B.Ed)

Q1 Do Kashmiri get some relaxation in admission?

Ans. Yes, “A relaxation in cut- off percentage up to 10% subject to minimum eligibility requirements will be given to Kashmiri migrants”.

Q.2 What is the duration of course?

Ans. The duration of course is two years (four semesters). The maximum duration to complete the program is three years.

Q.3 What is the duration of the semester?

Ans. For a program the academic year shall normally comprise Odd semester (Jan to May) &Even semester (July to Dec).

Q.4 Are your degree programs recognized by NCTE?

Ans. Yes.

Ans Yes.

Ans. Yes, all students go for practice/internship according to NCTE Guidelines.

B.Ed Special Education (Learning Disabilities)

Q.1 Is any relaxation given to Kashmiri migrants?

Ans 1 Yes, “A relaxation in cut- off percentage up to 10% subject to minimum eligibility requirements will be given to Kashmiri migrants”.

Q.2 What is the duration of course?

Ans. The duration of course is two years (four semesters). The maximum duration to complete the program is three years.

Q3 What is the minimum eligibility for the course?

Ans 50 % in graduation.

Q.4 What is the duration of the semester?

Ans. For a program the academic year shall normally comprise Odd semester (Jan to May) &Even semester (July to Dec).

Q.5 What are our placement initiatives and what has been the record of placement?

Ans. MRU has a very strong central placement cell that takes care of the university placements.

Q.7 What are the further study options after completing B.Ed Special Education?

Ans. After passing B.Ed. in Special Education you can pursue master level programmes in Special Education/Education, PG Diploma in Guidance and Counselling or other PG programs in Education.

Q.8 What is the duration of teaching practice/internship? Is it compulsory?

Ans. Yes, all students will be going for teaching practice/internship according to RCI Guidelines.

Integrated B.Sc/B.A. B.Ed.

Q.1 What is the duration of course?

Ans. The duration of course is four years (eight semesters). The maximum duration to complete the program is six years.

Q.2 What is the duration of the semester?

Ans. For a program the academic year shall normally runs as Odd semester (Jan to May) & Even semester (July to Dec).

Q.3 Are the degree programs recognized by NCTE?

Ans. Yes.

Q.4 What are various job opportunities after pursuing the course?

Q.6 Is pedagogy of Hindi/Sanskrit/Punjabi offered as a subject?

Ans. Yes

Q.7 What is the duration of teaching practice/internship? Is it compulsory?

Ans. Yes, all students go for teaching practice/internship according to NCTE Guidelines as it is a compulsory part of the course.

4 Weeks of Preliminary School Internship in 3rd Year and 16 weeks of School Internship in 4th Year.
