Today's world relies more on visual presentation, be it film making, advertising, or gaming. Students with a passion and vision for the arts and animation can choose visual arts as a career option. The success of animated films (such as Star Wars, Baahubali, PK, Life of Pi, etc.) has influenced the career preference of many with more students looking out for a career where they can express their ideas visually with great influence. A Visual Artist is a broad phrase which encompasses various portfolios such as animators, game developers, multimedia artists, digital compositors, and graphic designers.

Pursuing a course in Visual Arts allows the students to channel their creativity and imagination in the right direction and make their message more expressive through animation. Aimed at enabling students to apply their technical skills and knowledge to develop various forms of creative expression, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies offers Bachelor of Visual Arts in three specializations: Visual Effects, Animation and Game Development. The program has been designed to produce production-ready artists, well-versed in general academic knowledge, visual arts and digital production skills.

At MRIIRS, students' skills will be enhanced in Digital Production, Visual Communications, 3D Design, Animation, Digital Character Sculpting, Storyboarding, Colour Theory, Anatomy, Visual Effects, Digital Painting, Digital Compositing, Filmmaking for Visual Effects and much more. The department has advanced laboratory for the development of digital assets; state-of-the-art equipment (Studio, Production Control Room, Edit bay, Camera, Teleprompter, etc.), a well-equipped broadcast studio and Computer Lab equipped with all the required software for print production.

With a belief to provide global immersion to the students, expert panel at the department comprises of international experts from USA, Japan and across India. The department follows Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) to allow each student to learn at their own pace and choose courses from different areas. Students are also prepared to work independently and collaboratively in response to project demands given onboard.

Through such global immersions, extensive hands-on exercises and innovative & creative pedagogy, MRIIRS ensures that students are able to develop and evaluate their ideas besides thinking creatively and critically.
