Advancing the frontiers of technology for societal betterment, the Computer Science and Technology Faculty and Students Team at Manav Rachna University has achieved a significant milestone by securing an initial grant of approximately Rs 5.5 lacs under the prestigious EPICS in IEEE program for their groundbreaking project titled "Detection of Unidentified Garbage Vulnerable Points using Drones and AI – India."
This initiative, leveraging cutting-edge AI and drone technology, exemplifies the transformative power of engineering in addressing pressing environmental challenges. With EPICS in IEEE—a globally recognized program that has impacted over 1.5 million lives across 30+ countries—the project has the potential to secure up to $ 10,000 annually for three years, contingent upon impactful community implementation.
Supported by NGO Lakshya and Enthu Technologies, this project is spearheaded by a dedicated team, including Dr. Manpreet Kaur and Dr. Shruti Vashist, alongside bright minds from BTech Robotics & AI and CST programs.
