Does the college run post graduate courses?
Since 2012, MRDC is offering 3 years MDS Course in the specialty of Orthodontia, Prosthodontia, Conservative & Endodontics, Pediatric Dentistry and Periodontology.
How selection is done?
The selection is done on an annual basis which is based on performance in NEET PG and online counselling conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee). Please refer to website for more details
What Specialty can I choose?
You can choose any specialty , however it depends on your interest and more importantly your rank in NEET PG exam,
What are the minimum requirements for applying for MDS course?
Candidate seeking admission to Post Graduate Dentistry course should hold BDS degree of recognized University by DCI. A candidate who has completed one year compulsory rotating internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 31st March 2023 or as per any modification by University/DCI, can apply. All such candidates will have to submit the documentary proof, from the Principal / Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of internship along with the application form, failing which the application shall be rejected. A candidate should have obtained permanent registration with DCI (as the case may be) or any state council. If candidate does not have such registration, he should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission.
How is MDS course conducted?
MDS program is completed through seminars, journal clubs, case presentations, discussions, tutorials etc. All post graduate work is duly recorded and assessed in log book. PG students are required to take up a research project and submit the same in from a dissertation under the departmental staff guidance.
Can I depute someone as a nominee for counseling if I am not able to travel/ come down?
No, personal appearance of the candidate is a must to avail seat.
Should I need to pay the admission / tuition fee at the time of counseling / admission?
Yes otherwise the seat will be allotted to the next candidate in merit list.
Is there any facility for payment of fees in installments?
No, the seat will be allotted to next candidate on merit list.
Is there a capitation fee?
No, the selectionis purely on merit on the basis of criteria outlined above.
Is there any agent who can help me in getting admission to MRDC?
No, admission is done in proper manner via govt. laid down norms in the presence of Govt. and University appointed nominee.
Will I get hostel allotment at the time of admission?
Yes, if applicable.
Does the college have transport facility?
Yes, College has a Shuttle service from Bhadkhal Metro Station to Campus and back. Monthly pass of INR 1500 will be issued to the students.
Will I get a total refund, if I withdraw my admission?
No refunds are applicable if seat is once allotted and fee paid.
What are the documents required while attending the counseling?
All the original documents like Internship completion, BDS Mark sheets, Date of Birth, Migration Certificate, DCI registration, BDS Degree, Character Certificate, and school passing certificate along with address proof have to be submitted.
Can I take back the original documents?
Yes after the university has validated it.
Where can I avail for a loan facility?
Yes, eligible candidates can avail loan facility for higher education from Nationalized Bank branches like PNB etc.
