World Water Day Celebrated at Manav Rachna to promote Ecological Consciousness in the Youth of India!

Water is one of the most precious and mysterious gifts of nature to the human beings, that supports and holds life on Earth. World Water Day is held annually on 22nd March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

Centre for Advanced Water Technology and Management was established at Manav Rachna International University in 2015 to fulfill University’s vision as a comprehensive, progressive university with a deep commitment to civic engagement. Manav Rachna believes in promoting the ideals of social responsibility and public service by facilitating community-based experiential learning through collaborations with the communities.

In its envision to promote ecological consciousness among the youth of India, World Water Day was celebrated in the campus here today. On this occasion, an Expert Talk on the subject ‘Water and Health’ was delivered by Dr A. Mukherji, Scientist D, Central Ground Water Board, GOIDr M K Soni, ED and Dean FET, MRIU and Dr Sarita Sachdeva, Professor and Dean Research, MRIU sensitized the Students on various issues on water and shared the activities which the university is undertaking with respect to Water Conservation, apprising them about their contribution as an individual.
