In the wake of COVID 19 lockout, when Government declared a huge package for citizens of the country to revive the Indian economy, Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies organized a webinar on June 08, 2020, discussing the benefits available to MSMEs under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Scheme.
The session was moderated by Prof. Monika Goel (Director, FCBS). The speakers for the session were Mr. Vadiraj K A, General Manager (Credit), Karnataka Bank, and Mr. CA K V Mittal, Practicing Chartered Accountant, Noida. The session was attended by more than 200 participants including parents, faculty members, and students.
The session ended with the conclusion that the financial incentives introduced by the Government will rescue MSMEs reeling under the impact of the lockdown and provide much-needed liquidity to the sector. An increase in credit guarantees, subordinated debts, clearing of outstanding dues, and a broader definition would go a long way to revive the growth of MSMEs and boost the efforts to make the country self-reliant under the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.
