UG & PG students of Nutrition and Dietetics visited 35th Surajkund Craft Mela

B.Sc. IV and M.Sc. II Semester students from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, FAHS, MRIIRS visited the 35th Surajkund Craft Mela alongside faculty members Ms. Ankita Sharma, Dr. Madhvi Awasthi, and Head of the Department Dr. Divya Sanghi. The Surajkund Crafts Mela features a diverse range of regional and international crafts and traditions. This year’s theme was Jammu and Kashmir.


The Mela is organized by the Surajkund Mela Authority & Haryana Tourism collaborating with the Union Ministries of Tourism, Textiles, Culture, and External Affairs. Around 20 countries & many states of India participated in the Mela. The mela was enriched with the performance by the folks of different cultures and artists.


Various aspects were looked upon like how to deal with the massive demand of food at a time, hygiene and sanitation practices followed, storage of non-perishable foods etc.


It was a refreshing experience for the faculty members and the students.
