Two of Manav Rachna’s prized projects selected at Yahoo Accenture Innovation Jockey Season 5 out of 5000 plus applications!

Students of Manav Rachna are known for their out-of-the box ideas and innovative thinking given the conducive academic ambience and state-of-the art-infrastructure that is provided to them at the Institution, thanks to the farsighted vision of Founder Visionary Dr O.P. Bhalla who always encouraged students to bring their path-breaking ideas to the forefront. Presently, it is their innovative bent of mind which has again come to the fore, as they get set to participate at the Yahoo Accenture Innovation Jockey Season 5.  Manav Rachna’s two projects have been selected in different categories and they are going to be showcased on October 19-20, 2016, at the Grand Finale organized in Bengaluru.

In the current year, two projects of Manav Rachna are poised to compete in the Grand Finale following the critical evaluation and selection in which top 15 Innovators of India were identified. While one project will be in the Innovations to prevent corruption/ malpractices category and is named BIVIDA which is an open data platform for tenders in order to eliminate malpractices and has on board Team members Divyanshu Varshney, Kartik Jain and Mayur Gupta; the other project will be competing in the Health of Women category in which the project GRIWADITI which is a non-invasive screening tool for cervix cancer will witness team members Neeraj Saini, Akshita Sachdeva, Priya Bhardwaj, Jyotsna Adhana taking on top contenders. All eyes are on the Grand finale at Bengaluru to be held on October 19-20, 2016 wherein Manav Rachna’s students are gearing up to demonstrate their skills and talent.

Appreciating the students for making it to the Grand Finale and wishing them luck, Dr Prashant Bhalla, President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions said, “Manav Rachna has always believed in imparting Quality Education and inculcating the spirit of enquiry and innovation among the students.
