The core purpose of NEP 2020 is ‘Manav Ki Rachna: Ramesh Pokhriyal

ASSOCHAM’s National Council on Education organized a webinar on “National Education Policy 2020: The Brighter Future of Education” with Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Education Minister, GoI today. An elite panel comprising Sh. Niranjan Hiranandani, President, ASSOCHAM; Dr. Prashant Bhalla, Chairman, ASSOCHAM National Council on Education & President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI); Mr. Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, Co-Chairman, ASSOCHAM National Council on Education; Mr. Vineet Gupta, Co-Chairman, ASSOCHAM National Council on Education; Er. Anant Kumar Soni, Pro Chancellor & Chairman, AKS University; Ms. Divya Lal, MD, Fliplearn Education; Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay B Chordiya, Founder President, Suryadatta Education Foundation; and Mr. Neeraj Arora, ASSOCHAM addressed 1000+ academicians, corporate leaders and policy makers.

The panel congratulated the Education Minister for a well-structured and well-thought National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and put forth suggestions as well as challenges related to its implementation.

In his inaugural address, Sh. Niranjan Hiranandani complimented: “NEP 2020 has brought in a knowledge revolution that will give the opportunity to each child for education and employment. This is a new path that was never envisioned before in the country”.

Dr. Prashant Bhalla reiterated: ‘NEP 2020 is that education policy which is student centric, India- focused and shall establish ‘study in India’ as a brand across the world. The new education policy shall definitely pave the foundation for a new India”.

Congratulating the team of ASSOCHAM for its exemplary work under the leadership of Dr. Prashant Bhalla, the Hon’ble Minister Sh. Ramesh Pohkriyal ‘Nishank’ expressed confidencein the implementation of the National Education Policy. He said: “The core purpose of NEP is the creation of better human beings and with a leader who is already working towards ‘Manav Rachna’, it couldn’t have been better. Positive thoughts always result in a new strength and the successful implementation of NEP is based on positive thoughts. NEP 2020 shall be the foundation of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

He further added: “Unless education and industry amalgamate, there will be no progress. Structured after deliberations from all sections of society, NEP incorporates some pragmatic changes that shall further enhance the purpose of education. In the NEP, we are working with children right from their foundation stage as research has proven that 85 percent of a child’s brain development takes place in the foundational years and we did not want to lose the connect at this stage”.

While sharing that over 15 lakh suggestions have already been received for the implementation of the National Education Policy, the Minister sought further suggestions from the august audience. He said: “I look forward to all of you working as a team India on mission mode for the implementation of NEP 2020.”
