TechMage – Coding cum Quiz competition, for MRU B.Tech CSE/IT 1st year students

Computer Science & Technology Department, Manav Rachna University, organized TechMage – Coding cum Quiz competition, for B.Tech CSE/IT 1st year students. More than 150 students participated in this event.

In the preliminary round on 24th April, 2017, students were given seven coding problems on theHackerRank portal. The top 16 students with the highest score were selected for the finale round. Kaustabh dominated the leaderboard with 600 points in the preliminary round. The final round of TechMage was conducted on 1^st May, 2017 and was based on a Quiz on proficiency in computing.  The teams went through a plethora of questions ranging from general computer knowledge to guessing famous personalities and solving code. Divij Jindal and Kartik Kumarbagged the 1st position in the event while Abhishek Sontakke and Saurabh Sethi claimed the2nd position. The second runners-up of TechMage were Mayank Nagpal and Hitesh Khanna. Overall the event was a great learning experience for the students and they participated with full enthusiasm.
