Successful Completion of 5 Days Faculty Development Programme on Python Programming organised by FCA
Faculty Development Programme on Python Programming organized by Faculty of Computer Applications in association with Oxford University Press and technically supported by IEEE Computer Society, Delhi Section and Computer Society of India culminated on July 9, 2018. Inaugurated by Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, VC, MRIIRS, the first day of the FDP included basic introduction of the topic followed by hands-on training. Dr. Reema Thareja renowned academician/author from University of Delhi was the eminent speaker of the day. She has explained various tools of Python and their usage.
Sessions on second day focused on the basics of Pyhton, Lists, Tuples, Sets, Dictionaries and Strings. Professor Jaya Gera, renowned academician from University of Delhi was the keynote speaker of the day. On the third day, Dr. Preeti Rai Jain, a acclaimed academician and author from Miranda House, University of Delhi was the eminent speaker. She discussed topics like File Handling, Exception Handling, Data Visualisation, Graphic User Interface.
The fourth day witnessed great enthusiasm among the participants. Mr. Siddharth Verma conducted 3 different sessions on Python containing Arrays, Numpy, Panda package and inclusion of different packages in programs. He also discussed about the GUI platform of Python – Picharm where programs can be made simple and user friendly.
The Valedictory session of the FDP was organized in the presence of Dr. M.K. Soni, Pro-VC, MRIIRS. He appreciated the organizing members of the FDP and Dr. S.S. Tyagi, Dean, FCAfor organizing such kind of development programmes for the faculties. Dr. Shaveta Bhatia, HoD, FCA proposed ‘Vote of Thanks’.
