Seventh Manav Rachna Public Lecture on ‘Kashmir Issue: The Way Forward’
Manav Rachna University (MRU) organized Seventh Manav Rachna Public Lecture on ‘Kashmir Issue: The Way Forward’. Dr. Aman Hingorani, Advocate at Supreme Court of India and Author: ‘Unraveling the Kashmir Knot’ was the eminent speaker for the day.
Dr. Hingorani shared the reason of ‘Article 370’ being applied to Jammu and Kashmir, and said, ‘Genesis and Solution of Kashmir issue is not located in Article 370’. With this, he shared the excerpts from the history to make the statement clear. During his lecture, he said, ‘Hindustan is a territorial connotation; it has nothing to do with religion’.
The lecture gave a quick glimpse to everyone of the history of Kashmir heading to the issue of Article 370.
Dr. I.K. Bhat, VC- MRU; Dr. Sangeeta Banga, Dean-Academics, MRU; Dr. Kameshwar Singh, Registrar, MRU; and other senior members from the university, students, and faculty members were present during the lecture.
