Session on Life Insurance Operations
Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) organized an enrichment session on Life Insurance Operations on March 20, 2018 for the students of BBA General and BBA in Banking. The session was conducted by Mr. Robin Manchanda who has been working with Aditya Birla Group for over a decade now. The certifications against his name include LOMA from LOMA-US, Licentiate in Life Insurance from III, and Six Sigma- Yellow Belt. Moreover, he has recently completed his US-CPA from AICPA.
The session started with an interaction on basic insurance terms wherein Mr. Robin inculcated interest among students by explaining various insurance related terms. He elaborated on the important characteristics inclusive of protection, liquidity, tax relief and money. He also explained various types of life insurance including term life insurance, endorsement and permanent life insurance.
He later on discussed about various employment opportunities in insurance sector. Students were very inquisitive about actuarial sciences as well.
The session inculcated a lot of new ideas in the minds of students about the sector.
