Scientific Research Writing Using LaTeX
Department of Mathematics, Manav Rachna University is conducting two day Workshop on Scientific Research Writing Using LaTeX from January 17 – 18, 2020 for academicians, researchers and students.
Around 25 participants from various universities/colleges like J.C. Bose University of Science & Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, Pt. JLN Government College, Faridabad, Guru Kashi University, Bathinda, Punjab are participating in the workshop being held at MRU campus. Workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Sangeeta Banga, Dean Academics; Prof. Dr. Pradeep Varshney, Dean Research and Dean Applied sciences; Prof. Dr. A.K. Gupta, IQAC coordinator, Dr. Deepa Arora and Dr. Aparna Vyas, Head and Associate Head, Department of Mathematics. Dr. Deepa Arora, delivered the welcome address and briefed about the objective & outcome of the workshop.
On first day, the workshop comprised of two sessions. The first session was on ‘Writing text for various scientific documents’ by Dr. Ankita Pandey, Assistant Prof., MRU and the other one was on ‘Writing various type of Scientific formulae, equations, matrix etc.’ by Dr. Dinesh Tripathi, Assistant Prof., MRU. The participants had extensive hands on training during both the sessions. They enthusiastically asked and discussed queries and were satisfied on being answered by the experts. The participants appreciated the team work of the department in making them understand the basics and left for the day happily.
