Roundtable Workshop on MBA Waste Management and Social Entrepreneurship

A roundtable workshop on MBA Waste Management and Social Entrepreneurship was conducted at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Srivastava, Vice Chancellor, MRIIRS; Dr. N. C. Wadhwa, Director General, MREI; Dr. M. K. Soni, Pro – Vice Chancellor, MRIIRS; Dr. Nand Lal Dhameja, Dean, FMS, MRIIRS; Dr. Gurjeet Kaur Chawla, Associate Dean, Department of Students Welfare, MRIIRS; and Dr. Vinit Vijay Dani & Dr. Dinesh Pandey as  resource person from MGNCRE.

The round table conference was in order to introduce a new course of MBA Waste Management and Social Entrepreneurship and to introduce its structured curriculum framework & course material developed by MGNCRE.

There was a detailed discussion on Case Studies of Waste Management and Social Entrepreneurship through Rural Community Engagement as well as about the departments that would align themselves to incorporate the course in a structured way with support from MGNCRE.

The participants discussed the activities related to the course curriculum, teaching pedagogies, and benefits to stakeholders.

Six Books related to Waste management were also launched at the event.

The University look forward to plan a Waste Management Exhibition and Session for Industrial Associations and initiating Curriculum Approval Process in the Board of Studies and Board of Management based on good response from the Industry partners.

During the valedictory session Dr. Vinit Vijay Dani and Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Srivastava, presented the consolidated report of the proceedings of the entire day. Dr. Sanjay Srivastava further assured that the MBA in solid waste management will be undertaken as a specialization at the University with the support of MGNCRE, Haryana. At the concluding session, certificates were distributed to all the participants.
