Report on the Industrial visit at NMPL (N4, N6) Gurugram

Industrial visit is considered as one of the tactical methods of teaching. The main reason behind this- it lets the student know things practically through interaction, working methods, and employment practices.

A one-day industrial visit was organized by JBM group for its 5th semester (batch 5) students of B.Tech-Mechanical-Industry Integrated program studying in MRIIRS. Objective of the tour was to familiarize students with the real-life scenario of the industry working environment and to provide practical exposure for the subjects taught to them during regular classes in university.

Students were briefed about the about company’s safety norms, customers, standards and various manufacturing processes of the plant at the conference room. The team was also briefed about the guidelines and rules that are to be followed in the plant. After the refreshments, all students and faculties were given safety instructions and equipment in order to prevent any injury and unexpected incidents.

This visit made students learn about the manufacturing of various types of dies and fixtures. They were provided with all the detailed procedures in the manufacturing of various fixtures.

Material handling procedures and equipment used in the plant were explained to students along with the flow lines.
