Proceedings of Technoholic 2017
Believing in the spirit of continuous learning and sharing of knowledge, Faculty of Computer Applications organized a technical fest in the series of Technoholic 2015 and 2016 on February 28, 2017. Technoholic 2017 was held under the CSI Student Chapter. There were more than 250 students from different colleges and institutions from NCR region to participate in different events such as Technical Quiz, Presentation Skills, Technical Blogging, Programming Logic and Find and fix the fault.
Each event was judged and three winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd) were declared in each event. North Cap University, Gurgaon got the first prize of Technical Quiz, 2nd Prize was bagged by D.A.V. Centenary College, Faridabad and 3rd prize won by Saraswati College, Palwal. Students enjoyed themselves while debugging in the computer lab. Mr. Ankit Kumar from Pt. J.L.N. College, Faridabad got the first prize in Find and Fix the Fault Event whereas Ms. Bhawna from Saraswati College, Palwal won the 2nd prize. The 3rd prize winner was Ms. Simran from K.L. Mehta Dayanand College, Faridabad. Technical Blogging was another event where there were 3 winners. The 1st winner was Mr. Yogesh Jhakhar from Pt. J.L Nehru College, Faridabad. 2nd winner was Mr. Vijay Shankar Yadav from D.A.V. Centenary College, Faridabad and the 3rd winner was Mr. Ashutosh Singh from D.A.V. Centenary College, Faridabad. Dr. Micheal Watts, Professor, AIS New Zealand judged this event. Ms. Simran Chaudhary from D.A.V. Centenary College, Faridabad got the first prize. Ms. Nikita Gupta from Pt. J.L. Nehru College, Faridabad got the 2nd prize and the 3rd prize was won by Mr. Rahul from D.A.V. Centenary College, Faridabad. In the event Programming Logic event, the 1st Prize was won by Mr. Shubham from D.A.V. Centenary College, Faridabad and the 2nd winner was Mr. Aditya from North Cap University, Gurgaon.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, Dr. Naresh Grover, Dean FCA, Dr. Michael Watts from New Zealand and Dr. Rashmi Agrawal, HOD FCA distributed the prizes to the winners. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor motivated and encouraged the students for more participation in such events. Dr. Naresh Gorver, Dean FCA, also persuaded the students of different colleges and appreciated the efforts made by their faculty members who accompanied them. All the dignitaries also presented a small token of gratitude to the accompanying Faculty members of other colleges. Overall, the event was a great success and all the participants learnt a lot from the experience.
