Proceedings:ELSP19: A session on Opportunities in Banking Sector on March 7, 2016

Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies organized an extension session under the aegis of Enrichment Lecture Series Programme(ELSP) on Opportunities in Banking Sector by Mr. S. K. Chakravarty, a seasoned banking professional who is currently running his own organization Lifenergy Learning Systems’ as a Training consultant.

The resource person was introduced by one of the BBA Banking students Himanshi Adlakha and the topic of the day was introduced by Head of the Department -Business Studies Dr. Rakesh Kumar Arya.

Mr. Chakravarty started his session by introducing the basic realities of the various sectors. It was an interactive session where students asked various queries regarding opportunities in the banking sector. Mr.Chakrabarty emphasized on the career growth pattern in the banking sector and the tenure to reach to the highest position in public and private sector banks. He shared various experiences of his life to elaborate on the same. He even gave various inputs related to clearing various levels of banking exams and various interview techniques.

The session included varieties of questions by students related to their career path, banking job profiles and scope of a banking professional. Mr. Chakravarty shared various useful links with the students to get updated information about banking sectors and opportunities available. He also shared various approaches of communication to crack interviews across any sector.

Students were motivated and inquisitive throughout the session. A vote of thanks was proposed to the speaker by ELSP incharge for providing an opportunity to the students to know more about banking sector and its opportunities in a practical manner.
