The Department of Management, Manav Rachna University (MRU) organized a Guest Lecture with Mr. Roland Schatz, Founder & CEO of Media Tenor International and Senior Advisor to United Nations Under Secretary General. He is also the Founder of UNSGII Foundation.

The interaction was centered on the 17 SDG’s (Sustainable Development Goals) given by the United Nations towards a fully sustainable planet in 2030.

Mr. Schatz was speaking to all the faculty members and PhD students of the University. He explained his journey as an 8 year old who wanted change and then many years later he was one of those who witnessed the fall of Berlin Wall in 1989.

By stating this, he emphasized that if we believe and we work together then nothing is impossible and no matter how big and herculean a task seems; firm determination will accomplish the feat.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the world’s best plan to build a better world for people and our planet by 2030. Adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, the SDGs are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle income to promote prosperity while protecting the environment.
