Press Release: Celebrating ‘Innovation’ and ‘Excellence’ at INNOSKILL 2019

INNOSKILL 2019, the Annual Technical Fest of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) was inaugurated today by Dr. A B P Mishra, Scientist, DST, GoI in the presence of Smt. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, MREI; Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Dr. M MKathuria, Trustee, MREI and senior representatives from DST, FGSI and MREI. Spread over two days, INNOSKILL 2019 is supported by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), GoI and the Foundation for Glocal Science Initiatives (FGSI). This much-awaited Technical Fest is organized every year to celebrate the Founder’s Day at Manav Rachna Educational Institutions.

The celebration of Innovation and Excellence brought together students across ages on one common platform. More than 2000 students from Universities, Colleges and Schools across Delhi NCR are participating in a plethora of technical events including a Project Exhibition, Techno-Vogue (a themed Fashion Show), Competitions (TechSol, Srijan, Contraption, Robo Wars), Rangoli, Science Quiz, Science Based Drama, Drawing Competition, Poster Making Competition, Awareness Program, and Workshops.

INNOSKILL 2019 began with a Technical Parade by the little students from Manav Rachna International Schools. Dressed in the attire representingaliens, robots, artificial intelligence and smart phones the little ones conveyed ‘what is the future that they seek for themselves’!

The most striking feature was the unveiling of the replica of the ‘Make in India’ logo designed by students of MREI using electronic waste items such as computer parts, mouse, pen drives, etc. This shall be on permanent display at the ‘Hall of Fame’ at the MREI campus.

The Project Exhibition showcases several innovations by school and college students that shall surely leave the visitors awe-struck. These include Infinity Power Supply, Development of Value Added Products from Temple Floral Waste, Voice and Touch Screen Operated Intelligent Wheel Chair, Automatic Street Light, Innovative Easy Brush, Smart Irrigation, Binaural Beats, Inno-Bin and many more.

Workshopsare being conducted across various venues at the Manav Rachna campus. These are focused on enhancing motor skills and scientific temperament of school students. More than 300 government school students are participating in these workshops.

Techno-Vogue (a Fashion Show on the theme of technology) saw individual and group fashion presentation by school and college students. Celebrity Judges and Singers lifted the mood of the audience.

Like every year, an Industrial Experience Zone is also on display.

The award ceremony for all the events shall be held during the closing ceremony on April 4, which is also the Founder’s Day of Manav Rachna.
