PEDO CONCORD 2017
Department of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry under the able guidance of Dr. Hind Pal Bhatia and his team, MRDC organized a daylong programme – PEDO CONCORD, on March 2, 2017. Dr. Arundeep Singh, Principal, MRDC kickstarted the session along with Heads of all the departments of Manav Rachna Dental College.
The Guest of Honour for the day was Dr. R. K. Khullar, ex senior consultant and Head of the Department of Dental Surgery, Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi. The programme witnessed speakers of great repute which included Dr. Namita Kalra, Professor and Head, Department of Dental Surgery, UCMS, Delhi and Dr. Nikhil Marwah, Professor and Head, Department of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, Mahatma Gandhi Dental College, Jaipur.
The speakers shared their thoughts and insights on topics such as Child Abuse and Neglect, which is unfortunately of tragic relevance today. The talk also enlightened the post-graduates on how to face the challenges during practical examination.
The Continuing Dental Education programme was a great success with over 120 registrations from National Capital Region and neighbouring states. Notable participation was from AIIMS, MAIDS, UCMS, Faculty of Dentistry Jamia Milia Islamia, ESIC Dental College, Delhi, K. D. Dental college, Sudha Rustagi Dental College, Mahatma Gandhi Dental College, Santosh Dental College, ITS Dental College,-Muradnagar, ITS Dental College- Greater Noida, People’s Dental College – Bhopal, Indraprastha Dental College, Banke Bihari Dental College, School of Dental Sciences- Sharda University, DJ Dental College etc.
