Painting competetion & seminar on “water cooperation”
On the eve of “WORLD WATER DAY” Civil Engg Deptt, FET,MRIU in association with Institution of Engineers(India), Faridabad Local Centre organized two days programe on 21st & 22nd March’2013
On 21st March 2013 a painting competition on the topic “SAVE WATER FOR FUTURE” was organized This competition was successfully held due to sincere and dedicated efforts of “Consectize” , the Civil Engineering Club of MRIU.A number of students participated in this activity enthusiastically and shared their views through colours on importance of water. All the participants felt highly motivated and encouraged by presence of Dr M K SONI, ED and Dean, FET and Prof Naresh Grover, Director FET along with Dr B S Gill, AD-II and faculty of Civil Engg Department. Ms Nisha and Mr. Gautam of Faculty of International Programme (FIP) and Ms. Dipali and Ms. Romisha from Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) were the esteemed judges. They critically observed the paintings of all the participants and declared their results.
The three winners of the competition were
Ms. Silkita Chauhan, 2nd Semester, CSE, FET ——— First Prize
Mr. Jatin Bajpai, 2nd Semester, IT, MRCE ——— Second Prize
Mr. Aneesh Kumar 6th Semester, Civil, FET ——– Third Prize
On 22nd March’2013 , a seminar was organised in MRIU campus on the topic of “Water Cooperation” where 25 delegates and large nos. of students from MREI participated. Er. A.K.Chabbra , Executive Director (Projects),NHPC was the Chief Guest of the event.
In the seminar four speakers (i) Mr J.P.Malik- Member of IEI(Faridabad Local Centre) , (ii) Mr.R.N Malik of MRIU (Faculty of Civil Engineering Deptt.), (iii) Mr. Siddhardth , a student of YMCA and (iv) Mr. Pulkit Matta, a student of Civil Engg. Deptt. of MRIU delivered a very thought provoking lecture on the topic and shared their views .
