One Week Online STTP on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), organized an AICTE Sponsored Online One Week Short Term Training Programme (STTP) on Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning, from 28th Sept. to 3rd Oct. 2020, through the online mode.
A total of about 170 delegates virtually attended the training program from across the nation. The program witnessed numerous experts across India from premier organizations like National Institute of Technology, Calicut; University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh; Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala; Centre of Excellence in Coding & Code Optimization, Guru Nanak Institutions, Hyderabad; NIT Agartala; Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, as well as International speakers from Ulster University, UK and Institute for Analytics and Data Science, School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, University of Essex.
The 15 Sessions were highly informative and shed light and insights into the topics of Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning. The audiences were given exposure to the concepts like Image processing and morphological processing; image enhancement techniques, colour image processing, scaling process, object recognition algorithms, image forensics, and image segmentation techniques; Medical Imaging and the related technologies like Radiologic Technology, MRI Scan, Nuclear medicine, PET, MRI, 3D medical imaging, blockchain and metamorphic Approaches. Participants got practical insights on LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) networks and GAN’s Architecture along with backpropagation techniques in deep learning, design of discriminator & different generative models. Attendees were also enlightened with the Launch and dimensions of Sybil Attack, WANET and use of ML to detect Sybil Attacks in OSNs.
The one-week training programme commenced in the presence of the Chair & Coordinators from CSE, FET, MRIIRS as Prof (Dr.) Suresh Kumar (Chair-Event), Dr Poonam Tanwar, Associate Professor (Event Coordinator), Dr Shelja Sharma, Assistant Professor, (Event Coordinator), Ms Shubhangi Srivastava, Assistant Professor (Member- Organizing Committee).
The Inaugural & Valedictory session commenced on 28th Sept. 2020 and 3rd Oct. 2020 respectively in the presence of dignitaries such as Prof. (Dr.) H. C. Rai, Dean, FET, MRIIRS, Prof. (Dr.) Geeta Nijhawan, Associate Dean, FET, MRIIRS, Prof. (Dr.) Brijesh Kumar, Associate Dean Academics, FET, MRIIRS, Prof. (Dr.) Supriya P. Panda, Head, Dept. of CSE, FET, MRIIRS, Prof. (Dr.) Tapas Kumar, Head CSE-IBM Programme.
The sessions were highly informative and interesting. Both delegates and participants appreciated the efforts of the CSE, FET, MRIIRS group for conducting such an impactful well-organized training Programme.
