One-week ATAL National Faculty Development Programme (FDP) by FCBS and FMS

Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies organized a one-week ATAL National Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Developing Real Life Case Studies recently duly sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The program was conducted jointly by Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies (FCBS) and Faculty of Management Studies (FMS). To have a value-worthy Industry academia interface, ASSOCHAM joined hands as industry partner in this initiative to make this case study workshop more meaningful and enriching.

The given workshop will follow a unique structure wherein professors from different parts of India have joined as participants and will be exposed to real-life situations so as they may develop thought-provoking case studies. These faculties in a group will get an opportunity to virtually interact with specific industry professionals and looking at their success stories/ problems/ or failures faced by them, cases will be developed within this 5 days workshop.

Dr. Amit Seth, Director FCBS and Chief-coordinator of the event enlightened the audience about the importance of this workshop and how it is going to help the teaching fraternity. Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Srivastava, Honorable Vice Chancellor of MRIIRS addressed the audience and shared his insights about the true meaning of a Shikshak (Teacher).

Chief Guest of the day was Mr. B.R. Bhatia, President of Faridabad Industries Asssociation and a patron of Faridabad Small Industries Association (FSIA) and Laghu Udyog Bharti (LUB), Faridabad. He shared his journey as an industrialist and appreciated MRIIRS for taking this initiative to bridge agap between industry and academia.

The Guest of Honour was Mr. R. Anand, consultant and Advisor-HR with HCL technologies Ltd. and other Government and educational institutions and having significant experience in this domain. He apprised the participants about the relevance of the topic in today’s world.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Neeraj Saxena who is an advisor with AICTE, Ministry of Education and Institutional Development Cell (IDC) shared his view points and guidance with the participants.

Around 68 professors from various parts of the country are participating in this program. Eminent speakers from IMT Dubai, MDI Gurgaon, IIM Lucknow and others will share their expertise during FDP to enhance the knowledge of the participants. To have a better understanding of the subject, hands-on sessions have also been incorporated with live presentation by the participants.
