One day Workshop on Yoga Post-Covid Recovery

Meditation is relaxation and rejuvenates the body and mind. With this aim in mind, IQAC and the Department of Student Welfare came together and organized a workshop on the theme “Yoga Post-Covid Recovery” recently, for the teachers and students through a virtual platform. The facilitator of the event, Deputy Registrar, MRU and Yoga Instructor, Dr. Shobha Shrivastava, guided the yoga session with great dedication. The teachers and students participated with full interest, enthusiasm, and eagerness.

The session began by sharing how covid affects the body and primarily the lungs. This was followed by a series of Padmasana, Sukhasan, Tadasana, BhujangAsana, and Kapalbharti. Exercises for relieving stress, enhancing breathing ability, and maximizing concentration were conducted with the session participants.

Dr. Shobha Shrivastava motivated the staff and conveyed the importance of making yoga an integral part of our daily life by extending the practice of yoga beyond the mat. The session concluded with an interactive chat between the instructor and the teachers in wherein the queries of the teachers were addressed satisfactorily. The session was very refreshing, reviving, and relaxing.
