A one day
workshop on Discovering Entrepreneurial Skills and Competencies was conducted
by the Department of Management & Commerce, Manav Rachna University for the
BBA (Entrepreneurship & family Business) students.
Dr Rita Sengupta,was the resource person for the day who has served as Director, Behavioural Sciences at NIESBUD, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for more than 17 years and has been associated with various other institutes of repute like MDI Gurgaon, YMCA of India, EDI World Bank, IFC World bank etc.
The workshop involved the use of various tools like the Entrepreneurial Skill Assessment Quiz, Entrepreneurial Orientation Inventory, Sentence Completion test to determine the latent skills and levels of entrepreneurial internality/externality of the students. Further the students were to present their thoughts and learning through preparation of chart papers discussing the traits of an entrepreneur. The students were very interactive and participated enthusiastically.
The guest speaker was presented with a sapling and memento as a token of appreciation by the Dean – Management & Commerce, Dr. Parul Jhajharia and Prof Jaideep Singh, Director Industry Interaction, Manav Rachna University. The faculty of the department also actively participated in the workshop.
