National Mathematics Day Celebration by Computer Applications students

Faculty of Computer Applications (FCA), MRIIRS celebrated National Mathematics Day recently. The event was attended by faculty as well as students. First-year BCA students presented the significance of National Mathematics Day and Sir Srinivasa Ramanujan’s contributions to Mathematics. A brief introduction to the early life of Sir Srinivasa Ramanujan was given, followed by how this man, despite being from a poor Indian family, rose to prominence in this field and inspired many other Mathematicians.

Dr. Rashmi Agrawal, Head of the Department, encouraged students to relate math to logical thinking and motivated them to apply math to real-life applications and not have a phobia of math but rather embrace it. The event was ended with a thank you note from event coordinator Ms. Sunita Joshi.
